Alacregade actually has a really fun skill curve to it because nobody's going to get mad at you if all you do is hit Orders From Above off CD, but optimising its DPS is a nightmare so playing it to it's cap leaves a tonne of room for skill expression. Here's how I decided the race on the class I will make. Humans: I consider BEST in Humans are Warrior, Thiefs, Mesmer and Elementalist. And the opposite class are Ranger(because you are Human, so most-likely the pet will just eat you), Revenant(revenant's legendary invoke for me is like a spirit possessing you or a tech device) and Necro(Humans have Gods as their believes, so summoning is just Condi Virtuoso (Mesmer) Image: ArenaNet via HGG/Tyler Locke. Virtuoso is the End of Dragons elite specialization for the Mesmer. Instead of creating clones, Virtuosos create hovering blades which they fire at enemies. As of right now, Condi Virtuoso is one of the best DPS class builds, if not the best, in GW2.

Zyk22 13 years ago #1. So I was thinking of playing a physical DPS character, but it doesn't look like there is one that fits my criteria. 1. Physical DPS. 2. No pets (I hate controlling them in ANY game, haven't tried this however) 3. Actually good; doesn't suck. I would try ranger with no pet, but from what I can see, that doesn't meet Ranger is good in the beginning for a pet as it will help with tanking. Necromancer curses are also a decent secondary as they pair well with mesmer skills. If i'm being honest about best, the mesmer by itself is all you would ever need to clear everything. 4. If you want to pick the most versatile classes that are also used in dungeon speedclears ( which makes up the majority of all endgame content ) then I'd go with : 1.Assasin , 2.dervish or 3.ranger for melee Or 1.Mesmer ,2.Elementalist ,3.ritualist and maybe necromancer. The most versatile by FAR are assassin ranger and Mesmer though .
